On a cold and slightly dreary end of November day I met with the lovely and cheerful Campbell family for a fun family photoshoot in the beautiful Aberdeenshire village of Kemnay. We choose a fabulous spot right outside their door in their local woods. The girls knew the spot really well and marched ahead of us while we carried all the gear ( Well…Chris did!). I love having a strong man around to help carry the kit! This exuberant family cheered up the gloomy day with their gorgeous autumnal clothing palette and the girls beautiful smiles. Dad had just the night before returned from working offshore so they were Daddy’s girls all afternoon and didn’t want to leave his side.
When Mum and I had our pre-consultation coffee and chat planning the photoshoot she mentioned how much the girls LOVE dressing up! How they love fairytale outfits, sparkly shoes, handbags…..the lot! So we decided to make the photoshoot unique to them by incorporating a little bit of that fairytale magic into the afternoon for them. They did so well considering it was almost December and VERY cold. It was such a fun idea and maybe we will just have to do it again in the summer time when it is a touch warmer and the girls can run around in their pretty dresses 🙂 I love to make your photography session UNIQUE to you!
Mum was also only just weeks away from delivering baby number 3 so we took this opportunity to take a few pictures of her glowing and looking absolutely radiant. Even though this is their 3rd addition to the family, Jayne had not had any maternity pictures taken previously so it was a great opportunity to be able to capture and remember this special time in their lives.
I’m delighted to announce that only a couple of days ago we had part 2 of their family shoot with the brand new arrival to their family! A little boy! Blog post to follow soon featuring Baby Oliver!
